Ukraine’s Minister of Agriculture is meeting with representatives
of the World Bank today to discuss the current state of the forest industry in
Ukraine and the need for comprehensive reforms.
The Minister said that reform of the forest sector is one of
the priorities of the Ministry but it is controversial and difficult in terms
of social tension, with many opinions, discrepancies and misinterpretations.
He went on to say that international experience is important
and hopes the World Bank will be the synergistic platform for actions in
reforming the industry.
