Last month the elephant in Kiev Zoo was poisoned and died. Last night someone threw dodgy grub in to the Yaks enclosure after which they needed urgent resuscitation and they reportedly had the same symptoms as poor old Nellie (actually he was called Boy), presumably without the death bit. I went to the zoo the other week, I used to do a bit of animal psychology and have spent some time studying animal behaviour and these guys looked pretty content so why anyone would want to poison them beats me.
