Putin was in town last week signing deals with the new Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych (the guy in the picture is Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov)Without boring you with detail, all the deals are pro Russian and are being signed without any debate or transparency. Essentially the deals will damage how Ukraine looks to the rest of the world; no longer an independent state but once again affiliated to Moscow.
This could have fairly major implications on investment in Ukraine or it might not. We will have to wait and see.
I will keep you updated, that is until my 'pooter is seized and I am expelled from the country as an enemy of the state.
